EDUCATION :                                                                         A committee set up by the Human Resource Development Ministry to examine the issue of Question paper design for Class Twelve board exams has recommended for ( MCQs ) Multiple Choice Questions to be avoided. The committee has said, it is learnt, that no choice should be given in very short answer type questions, whereas there should be internal choice in long answer type questions.
The panel has also suggested that no Multiple Choice Questions should be given in the exam.
Another important suggestion forwarded by the committee was that open book exams may not be considered at class twelve level.
Finally, another radical idea coming out of the panel is that the students should be given an additional fifteen minutes for reading question papers.
